Day 1: Arrival at Marko Polo Airport (Venice) – Ljubljana 233 km

You will meet your TourGuide at the Airport and transfer to Slovenia. First you will discover Ljubljana designed by the architect Jože Plečnik. This world-famous architect has had a large-scale effect on Ljubljana, similar to that of Antoni Gaudí in Barcelona. He was also thinking way ahead of his time and employed sustainable solutions.  Accommodation and dinner.

 

Day 2: Ljubljana – Volčji Potok Arboretum – Velika Planina – Ljubljana 102 km

After Breakfast we go to visit one of the most popular horticultural parks in this part of Europe, Arboretum. We will have an educational visit to the park where our guide will introduce the Horticulture of Slovenia and explain to you the project “With nature to mutual understanding”. From the park we will go to the magic meadow village in the Slovenian Alps. You will meet a shepherd’s life on the mountain and see the Herdsmen’s settlement.

The herdsmen’s settlement is known as one of few the settlements of such size in Europe and attracts many visitors throughout the year. It is distinct by its typical architecture which symbolises Velika planina. The additional value of the trip also presents the hike around the beautiful nature in the heart of the Kamnik Alps. Lunch at the guest house. Accommodation and dinner.

 

Day 3: Ljubljana – Bled – Krajnska Gora – Planica Nordic Centre – Soča vally   180 km

Today you will enjoy in the view of the mountains, lake Bled and the beauty of nature and see why Slovenia is Green destination. In a guided tour you will have a closer look at the Planica Nordic Centre. It is the place where is every year organized the FIS World Cup final in ski jumping. In the museum you will learn the history of ski jumping that dates to year 1934, when the first world record was set. Lunch before we take a panoramic Alps road to Kobarid. Here you will visit estate Bogata Bovec with organic dairy cows and Kobarid, the setting of Hemingway’s novel A Farewell to Arms. Accommodation and dinner in Soča vally

 

Day 4: Soča vally – Kras – Slovenia Coast 150 km

Today in only 1 hour driving you’ll change the Alpine climate for the Mediterranean clima. Our first stop will be Ham-Drying Facility Lokev Na Krasu. In the hamsters they will prepare a tasting tour and show you a presentation film about products and production. At the end you will visit to the drying room of prosciutto with a professional interpretation. Before noon we will arrive to Slovenia Adriatic see. Here you will spend the last day of exploring the history and influence of Venice. We will see Portoroz and Piran, which is the most beautiful town on the Slovenian coast. Day 5: Piran – Venice 190 km

Today, early morning after breakfast, transfer to Marco Polo Airport in Venice.

Depends on your flight. You’ll have time to visit and see the Venice.
